I am interested in the ambivalence between the languages and (in this case) lithographic process. “Juodas darbas” a direct translation from Lithuanian language would be “Black work”. This phrase could mean literally ‘black work’ (identification of the black colour in the work) and also a hard, labour work, something very physical, dirty and tiring. I found similarities between these different expressions and processes. Minimalistic expression represents something looking so simple and easy, were actual labour work will never be visible and experienced.
