'TITLED' 2017/2019

C-print 150x90cm

From the text in exhibition "L'avoir dans la peau. R.C."

"To have it in the skin. Art, we have it or we do not have it in our skin. Using her body as a printing surface and stamping on her skin the word "artist", the young Lithuanian affirms herself as such. The number of passes to succeed in engraving marked before blood. We understand then, that the name of the photograph "Titled", is not neutral. She returns to the use, current in contemporary art, of the title “untitled” to claim the "title" of an artist, as the mark of her commitment. R.C."
